Thomika Bridwell

was born in New York City and raised in Roxbury, MA, Thomika Bridwell is a third generation performing artist that is committed to using her entire instrument to breathe life into thought provoking, transformative art. A multifaceted performer, Thomika has been privileged to work on stages across the United States, in plays as varied as Shakespeare’s Coriolanus to Sondheim’s Into The Woods.

A longtime activist, advocate of social justice, and proponent of systemic change, Thomika is particularly humbled by the opportunity to share this story with humanity amidst the backdrop of this country’s struggle for the true realization of the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Thomika is grateful for forward thinking creativity and the ability to continue to work and tell such important human stories during this Pandemic. “Now more than ever, I believe that we, as artists have been called to the awesome responsibility of holding up a mirror to humanity. A mirror by which we can all see ourselves; our current condition; and shape our collective future from the place of standing in the truth of our ugly past. Thomika dedicates this performance to her daughter. “I hope that my daughter will be empowered by her mother chasing and realizing her dreams and is inspired to relentlessly pursue her own.”
