Phyllis Smith

Phyllis Y. Smith* is excited to be working again with Wheelock Family Theatre. In their over 20 years of working in theatre and events, Phyllis has worked on a variety of projects, as production manager, stage manager, event coordinator, and everything in between. Recent productions that Phyllis has worked on include: Speakeasy Stage: Choir Boy (Production Stage Manager), Front Porch Arts Collective and Central Square Theatre: Black Odyssey Boston (Production Stage Manager);  Lyric Stage: The Wiz (Production Stage Manager);  Tony Williams and City Ballet: Urban Nutcracker (Production Stage Manager); and the Data for Black Lives conference at MIT’s Media Lab (Stage Manager). Phyllis is currently the Director of Venue Operations at the Boston Center for the Arts and Production for the Front Porch Arts Collective, frontporcharts.org, a black theatre company committed to advancing racial equity in Boston through theatre.
