Great Kick Off to Summer 2023
SUMMER 2023 IS OFF TO A GREAT START!
Our first three weeks of our summer program have been completed! There has been so much amazing work being done by our students, interns, and teaching artist. We have students juggling, making puppets, and making their own shows.
WEEK 1:
Under the Big Top: This summer began with high flying fun! We continued our Circus Week tradition with an incredible group of students and teachers from Cirque Us! Students explored clowning techniques, acrobatics, juggling and much more! In partnership with Cirque Us.

WEEK 2:
Puppet Academy: One of our favorite weeks of the year returned this summer! During Puppet Academy with Puppet Showplace Theater, students explored creating their own puppets, exploring shadow puppetry and more! In partnership with Puppet Showplace Theater.

- Week Two: Puppet Academy!
WEEK 3:
Treasure Trunk Theatre: Jurassic Journeys: The sweetest dinosaurs you ever did see joined us this week at WFT! They created their own fossils, sang songs inspired by jurassic themes and more!

Stage Combat: On Camera Stunts: Watch out! These students are no joke! Learning from on camera stunts and creating their own, these students exploring the art of safe stage combat!

Making a Scene: Devising, Directing, and Acting: Students in our Making a Scene class explored stories from start to finish! They created their own elements for exciting tales!
Characters Take the Stage: Comic Pirate Adventures: Ahoy matey! Pirates have landed at WFT! Students explored their own pirate adventures this week! Through scenes, movement, song and more, these students stole the show!
