
Alex Grant
is currently going into his second year in the Contemporary Dance program at The Boston Conservatory. Prior to entering the BFA program he trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern and musical theatre at The Gold School in Brockton, Massachusetts under the direction of Rennie Gold. During his time at The Gold School he was a member of Project Moves Dance Company, a non-profit organization with the mission of addressing relevant youth issues and providing free performances to teens and children. He has performed in various concerts and shows while a member of Project Moves Dance Company. He has also choreographed several pieces for the company and produced a Student Choreographer’s Showcase allowing his peers to present their work on stage. Alex continues to choreograph pieces for the company.
In addition to his dance training and performance, Alex has also studied in theatre, stage management, set design and sound and video production and has used these skills in various theatre and dance productions, recently working with Larry Sousa in lighting design for the Project Moves Dance Company’s annual concert. He has also worked teaching dance to teens and children.
