
Lesley Ryan Miller
Lesley Ryan Miller is the Chief of Staff at the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, supporting an organization that serves more than 19,000 girls as they develop the courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place.
With more than 25 years of experience in education, Lesley previously served as Chief of Teaching & Learning for the Boston Public Schools, where she oversaw instruction in math, English language arts, social studies, science, health and wellness, world languages, early childhood education, school libraries, and the performing and visual arts. During her tenure, access to arts education grew dramatically, with PreK–8 students receiving weekly arts instruction increasing from 67% to 96% and high school participation rising from 26% to 67%. She also served as Deputy Superintendent of Teaching & Learning in the Public Schools of Brookline and as Principal of the Pierce K–8 School, a three-building campus serving more than 850 students. Earlier in her career, Lesley taught kindergarten and first grade for nearly a decade.
Lesley is also Chair of the Board of Trustees at The Park School in Brookline, MA. She holds degrees from Boston University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
