Summer Story S.P.L.A.S.H. Creativitiy Prompts
Week 1 – July 6th
This story challenge requires you to fill in the blank to tell the missing pieces of the story. First take time to write out your story. Then prepare to act it out. Use whatever you’d like to help tell your story. Challenge yourself to tell another story using the same story starters.
In an imaginary land, there once lived _____________________________________.
They spent every day_________________________________________________.
All they really wanted ________________________________________________.
But there was a terrible problem_________________________________________.
They tried ________________________________________________________.
But that didn’t work _________________________________________________.
Then one day, this amazing thing happened_________________________________.

Week 2 – July 13th
This story challenge requires you to pick an object in your home. What magical quality could this object possess? How can you create a scene where the characters discover the object and it’s magical powers? What happens to the characters and the object? Remember that a good story and scene includes characters, conflict and a solution!
